The Dark Tower

The Dark Tower is a series of books by Stephen King. Despite the novels are set in a post apocalyptic world ruins and the decay of our civilization isn’t that important. King prefers obviously the scenery of the American Old West, the wastelands, the deserts. And their wandering heroes, like the gunslinger.

But anyway I like King’s language his descriptions: "The desert was the apotheosis of all deserts, huge, standing to the sky for what might have been parsecs in all directions. White; blinding; waterless; without feature save for the faint, cloudy haze of the mountains which sketched themselves on the horizon and the devil-grass which brought sweet dreams, nightmares, death. An occasional tombstone sign pointed the way, for once the drifted track that cut its way through the thick crust of alkali had been a highway and coaches had followed it. The world had moved on since then. The world had emptied."

Zombieland

Zombieland is a 2009 American zombie comedy film, which combines elements of a zombie films with a road movie.

Four survivors of a zombie apocalypse are traveling together to "Pacific Playland" an amusement park, which is said rumored to be zombie-free. Sure it isn’t. And so happens the last shoot out in an abandoned amusement park. It’s a very diverting and funny movie.
